Periodically, I will ask to meet with you (the parents) in a private session to discuss your teen’s therapeutic progress and advocate for their needs. This gives us a chance to get to know each other to see if it feels like a good fit, and for you to get a taste of my therapy style and how I work. STEP 3 After three sessions we will check in. When we decide to work together, we will discuss your goals and how therapy can best support you in reaching them. It will be a collaborative process and will look different for every individual client. For you to get the most out of your therapy experience it’s important to remember, building a strong therapeutic relationship takes time. I prefer to see my clients once a week or more if needed.</image:caption>
